So you are interested in your own custom piece of artwork? Read on!
Make sure you familarize yourself with my work before deciding to commission me. Like any artist, I have strengths and weakness in the works I produce. My favorite medium is colored pencil. My main loves are animals (whether real world or fantasy creations). I love to draw creatures in motion and I love color. Still sound good? I will branch out and draw other things as well. For some subjects, I may require a reference image.
Standard commission prices are not intended for commercial or marketing purposes. If you are purchasing artwork for any type of commercial use, please let me know up front. Prices will depend on the scope of your project, but will remain as low as I can keep them. You are able to use your commissioned piece for non-profit use so long as I am made aware before you use it. I do retain the rights to sell prints and use your commissioned piece in the use of self-promotion.

A commission is a one-of-a-kind artwork created for you. Sometimes a commission is a portrait done of a person or a pet from a photograph, sometimes it is a scene from a story you have created, sometimes a fictional character, or just something that appeals to you. In the end, it's what you want, how you want.
As a rule, I will get information from what you want, how you want it, what your overall expectations are. You will pay me one-third of the anticipated commission price. I will create a sketch and post it for you to view. You can either approve it, or let me know what isn't right. Once approved, you pay the second third before I being shading/coloring/painting. If requested, I can psot a few scans of your piece in progress (this does make the project take longer, as I have to stop to scan it in, ready it, and upload it). Once the piece is finished, it will be posted online. You will send the final payment before the commission is shipped.
Chances are the initial price will never change. The thing most likely to change the price, actually, is you. If you request a lot of changes, or starting over and redoing things because your information wasn't as clear as is ideal. If the price will go up or down, you will be notified prior to your final payment with the amount and the reasoning. As I said, though, it is unlikely the price would change.
