This piece was done as part of a group trade on LiveJournal. Everybody submits a character, then people get assigned someone else's character to draw. I was assigned Mariel. She is a queen in her own right and has quite a lot of attitude. There were a lot of new things done with this piece. Some worked, and some didn't.

No references used. Colored pencils on 9X12 sketch paper. Sprayed with fixative to prevent smudging.
